This strip is manufactured from black EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer, a type of synthetic rubber) and has two self gripping fins along each inside wall. The bulb extends from the side of the grip part of this gasketing. Suitable for panels or doors of between 1mm and 2mm. Supplied in 100m lengths.

EPDM gasketing has a low residual displacement after the compression has been removed and can tolerate a wide range of temperatures. UV, oxygen and ozone have little effect on EPDM gasketing, which makes it suitable for outdoor applications, and it tolerates water, salt fluids, steam, alcohol, glycol and weak acids or alkalis but not oils or hydrocarbon-based solvents.
