This strip is manufactured from black EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer, a type of synthetic rubber). There are three short, self gripping fins along one inside wall and one, longer self gripping fin along the other. The flange extends from the side of the grip part of this gasketing. Suitable for panels or doors of between 2mm and 4mm. Supplied in 50m lengths.

EPDM gasketing has a low residual displacement after the compression has been removed and can tolerate a wide range of temperatures. UV, oxygen and ozone have little effect on EPDM gasketing, which makes it suitable for outdoor applications, and it tolerates water, salt fluids, steam, alcohol, glycol and weak acids or alkalis but not oils or hydrocarbon-based solvents.
