This solid strip is designed specifically to be used with the 340-09-380, 340-09-381, 340-09-382 and 340-09-385 types of gasketing. Manufactured from black EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer, a type of synthetic rubber). Supplied in 50m lengths.

EPDM gasketing has a low residual displacement after the compression has been removed and can tolerate a wide range of temperatures. UV, oxygen and ozone have little effect on EPDM gasketing, which makes it suitable for outdoor applications, and it tolerates water, salt fluids, steam, alcohol, glycol and weak acids or alkalis but not oils or hydrocarbon-based solvents.
