International Marketing & PR Executive
Eastbourne £ highly competitive
Your nature
You will be an enthusiastic, hardworking person who wants to gain the practical experience needed to achieve a senior marketing position in the future.
You know the theory and are completely comfortable with a hands-on role. You must have excellent creative writing skills. You take a customer-orientated approach in all communications and are capable of becoming the “customers’ champion” within the business.
You should show great attention to detail, including the self discipline to check the accuracy of all the work you undertake.
You have the interpersonal skills and the first class telephone manner to communicate directly with colleagues at every level in the business, prospective customers, media contacts, suppliers and blue chip customers - and to command their respect.
Naturally, you adopt a professional manner at all times and you display a commercial and profit-related approach to all marketing activities.
You welcome the challenges of international business. Preference will be given to candidates who speak and write in French or German, in addition to having English as a mother tongue or total fluency in English.
You are a forward looking individual with an aptitude for identifying, assessing and (where appropriate) adopting emerging trends in media and marketing communications.
Your qualifications
You have a degree or equivalent in international marketing, marketing, business studies or media relations, alternatively you are a graduate with a CIM, CIPR, CAM or IDM Diploma.
Your experience
You will have held a full time marketing, business development or PR role for at least six months. Your work experience must have involved business development or sales and PR. Optimally, your experience will have been an international marketing/sales/PR position in a B2B organization.
Ideally, you have undertaken written communications for customers & prospects, direct mail & bulk e-mail campaigns, preparation of Sales support materials, web-site content, SEO or multi-lingual SEO, graphic design & production (including literature), online advertising, print buying, product photography, preparation of Intranet content, exhibition management and press advertisement design.
Your IT skills
In addition to having used MS Office software, you may also have experience of a CRM database, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, bulk e-mail distribution software, Acrobat Professional and web-site analytics software.
Remuneration
You merit a highly competitive salary (for a position based outside of London). Starting benefits include five weeks paid holiday. Other benefits may be available after a qualifying period.
Career progression
You seek a position offering an explicit goal in your specialist field. You appreciate that progress towards this goal will be determined largely by your contribution to corporate growth. You are able to develop over time the strategic skills and leadership qualities needed for a senior role.
The company
One of the world’s leading designers, manufacturers and suppliers of industrial locking systems and industrial hardware. A firmly established company that can trace its roots in the security industry over almost a century.
An independent, owner-operated business of medium size, which has emerged from the global economic recession in a strong position. Plans are in place to accelerate growth - including this appointment.
The location
The sunniest place on mainland Britain, which also holds a clean beach award. Offers a wide variety of leisure activities. Watersports range from kite surfing to sea kayaking. The 1,600 km2 of the South Downs National Park are easily accessible for walking, cycling, horse riding or hang gliding/paragliding, also picturesque villages with pubs serving traditional ales. Vibrant Brighton is 24 miles away and London’s huge range of attractions is 90 minutes by rail.
