The extra feature of master keying has been added to the popular 8871 locking insert in this product. A 7 pin radial pin tumbler mechanism provides 500,000 different key combinations. The housing is die-cast alloy with a polished chrome finish and the locking mechanism is machined from brass, with a sintered steel latch. Available with a standard or flush latch. An anti drill centre enhances resistance to physical attack.
Master keys may be registered, ensuring maximum key control. Keyed to differ locks are supplied with two keys each, as standard.
Owing to the ingenuity of our customers, the 8871 locking insert has found its way into many and various other applications where its simplicity of design and operation and inherent strength make it extremely versatile. The security of an application fitted with an 8871 can be upgraded at a future date, due to the dimensional compatibility of higher specification locking inserts.
