This safe is ideal for holding cash, vouchers or sealed envelopes thanks to the ‘baffled’ entry slot in the top. There is no need to unlock the safe to deposit items. The operator simply feeds notes or other items in the slot to deposit these securely into the safe below.
The CS2S can be installed in a vehicle and has a larger capacity than the CS1. Using an optional base plate and fixing kit, the safe can be anchored to the vehicle floor, allowing it to be detached by the key-holder. Additional base units are available where two or more vehicles are in use.
Lock options available include keyed to differ, keyed alike, master keyed and reprogrammable systems. The locking operation is ‘push to lock, key to open’. The safe is usually supplied with a Series T8 high security ten pin radial pin tumbler lock that has a hardened steel construction and patented Octagon mechanism. However, the lock is specified separately to enable you to choose the most appropriate locking system.
Normally, we recommend that the keys are not held by the driver of the vehicle (or their escort) but kept in a secure location at the operating base.
The safe is constructed from ‘Zintec’ zinc coated mild steel. All welded joints conform to ISO D1S79956, Part 3. A blue epoxy powder coating gives the safe an attractive and durable finish.
