The very popular 189 range of spring loaded tubular hinges can be specified in 10 mm diameter and either 40mm long or 51.5mm long, 12mm diameter and 51.5mm long or 15mm diameter and 67.5mm long. The quoted lengths exclude the hinge pin.

The 189 range allows for very easy removal of doors and can be specified as a spring loaded pair, one upwards and one downwards, or as a spring loaded upwards hinge and a fixed bottom dowel pin.

The hinges are manufactured from steel, the body is copper plated for easy welding and other visible parts are zinc plated.

The maximum hinge rotation angle is 110°.

Typical applications include electric panels and machinery covers.
