These swing handles are fitted with a cam and a Euro profile (keyhole shaped) lock.
The cam may be either a conventional cam with a leading and trailing edge or an actuator cam that also drives rods when the handle is turned. The cam can be flat or cranked and there is a very wide range of lengths to choose from.
Most of the swing handles with a Euro profile lock can be specified with one of four levels of security. For applications requiring excellent security, such as 19” rack server cabinets, telecommunications centre enclosures, high value electronics enclosures, highway control cabinets and high value tool cabinets, the Euro profile lock features Camlock’s patented mechanism designed to prevent unauthorized duplicate keys being cut in key cutting outlets. These high security locks have excellent resistance to picking and an anti-drill centre for added security. The mechanism offers over 500,000 different key combinations, allowing unique combinations on batches of keyed alike locks. The all-brass lock construction and polished chrome finish provide superb durability.
Where a moderate level of security is required, a Euro profile cylinder lock can be specified. The cylinders are either brass or die-cast zinc alloy (DIN-EN 1774-ZnAl4Cu1), are operated by a flat key and are available keyed alike, keyed to differ or master keyed.
For frequently used applications that require very low security, most Euro profile swing handles can be specified with one of a range of industry-standard drivers, that provides a simple and convenient fastening.
Some types of swing handles can also be specified with no lock or in a version designed to be secured with a padlock.

The choice extends to the materials used, which are polyamide, die-cast zinc alloy or stainless steel, and to the finishes. Most types are available black powder coated or bright chrome plated. The majority of items are IP65-rated, a standard that measures the ability of products to exclude moisture and particulates from enclosures.
