These swing handles and multi-point locks have an integral gearbox. When the handle or key is turned, this operates the cam and extends or retracts the rods. The cam can be flat or cranked and there is a very wide range of lengths to choose from.

Each type is available in a range of options and with a wide choice of cams or rods. Swing handles are available with no lock — offering a simple and convenient fastening, with one of a wide range of industry-standard drivers or with integral security in the form of a cylinder lock or a Euro profile lock. Locks are available keyed alike, keyed to differ or master keyed.

The choice extends to the materials used, which are polyamide, die-cast zinc alloy or stainless steel, and to the finishes. Most types are available black powder coated or bright chrome plated. The majority of items are IP65-rated, a standard that measures the ability of products to exclude moisture and particulates from enclosures.
