The 196 is available in two sizes for doors with a bend (edge) of either 21.5mm or 24.5mm. The body is die-cast zinc alloy (DIN-EN 1774-ZnAl4Cu1), which is zinc plated, and the welding part is copper plated steel, for easy welding. The hinge is fitted using the two M6 x 10 bolts supplied. The maximum hinge rotation angle is 110°.

Typical applications include electric panels and machinery covers.
