This lock is identical in specification to the Series 188 padlock with the extra feature of master keying. In addition to keyed different specific to each padlock, a master key is available to open all padlocks in the series. All master keyed series are assembled to order and each master key combination is allocated exclusively to the customer, with key assignment available.
This 40mm radial pin tumbler (‘RPT’) padlock incorporates the patented ‘Octagon’ mechanism, with the additional benefits of a 10-pin cylinder, providing top-level security for unsupervised locations, applications requiring strong secondary security and those that are frequently targeted by criminals. Also suitable for factory premises, lockers, offices, stores, gates and cabinet doors.
The Series 188 padlock offers millions of different key combinations. Unique key combinations and key assignment are available on keyed alike, keyed alike groups or keyed different subject to a minimum order quantity.
The brass body and lock cylinder, together with the stainless steel shackle, afford good resistance against corrosion. The shackle resists sawing, filing and prying. Available in a standard 28.5mm (1.1”) or extended 50mm (2”) shackle length.
